How we price our work
Hourly rate
$75
per technician, per hour
Depending on the type of work, projects may be priced at a flat rate, by the hour, or with a custom project quote.
Many common repairs and installations are priced by the job rather than strictly by the time spent on site. Project pricing takes into account the scope and complexity of the work, setup and cleanup, specialized tools or skills, accessibility, and other factors specific to the job.
We will communicate the expected pricing and pricing structure before work begins, and let you know if unforeseen conditions require a significant change.
Our standard labor rate for hourly work, subject to our service minimums described below.

Starting prices assume typical installation conditions and a straightforward replacement or repair. Sometimes additional work isn't apparent until a project is underway. Corroded or seized components, difficult access, previous repairs or modifications, concealed damage, or other unforeseen conditions may require additional labor or materials.
If we encounter something that significantly changes the scope or price of the work, we'll discuss it with you before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.
Service call
Service minimums
For hourly service appointments within Santa Rosa, there is a $100 minimum charge. This covers the first hour or any portion of the first hour for one technician. After the first hour, additional time is billed at our standard rate of $75 per technician, per hour.
For work outside Santa Rosa, minimums or travel charges may vary depending on location. We'll let you know before scheduling if a different minimum applies.
Materials & purchasing
Materials purchased by S&K Handyma'am Services are billed at retail cost plus a 20% materials markup. This helps cover the time and overhead associated with sourcing, purchasing, transporting, and managing materials for your project, including returns or exchanges when needed.
Customers are also welcome to purchase specified materials themselves when appropriate.
Estimates & custom projects
Larger projects, projects involving multiple types of work, and jobs where the scope cannot be determined in advance may require a custom estimate.
Estimates are based on the information and conditions known at the time they are prepared. Changes in scope, unforeseen conditions, or additional work requested during the project may affect the final price. We'll discuss any significant changes with you before proceeding.
